Thanksgiving Thankfuls

Sorry for being on hiatus.  I wrote something a week and a half ago and realized I was just blabbing on and on about the same old thing.  So I deleted it.

I would have written last week but was a little tuckered out from being in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.   More on that in my next blog which I will post at the end of this week.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I’d like to write about everything I am thankful for.  As you are probably well aware by now, I am beginning a journey which requires me to uproot myself so I am able to accomplish some of the goals I’ve wanted to do in my life.  What better time than to start at the New Year?  Here are my thankfuls, in no particular order.

I’m thankful for the support my friends and family has given me with this transition.  Without your love, care and help, I would not be able to shed this chapter or my life so easily to turn the page to the next chapter.  Thank you for your guidance, encouragement and support.

I’m thankful for Dustin, one of my oldest and truest friends.  You have always been there when I needed you and trust me to be there when you need me.

I’m thankful for the DaDan’s, my sister Danielle, brother-in-law Dan, my two handsome nephews for always being happy to see me and welcoming with open arms.

I’m thankful for Dan’s family for also being so very welcoming and making me feel like I am apart of their family as well.

I’m thankful for my brother Matthew and sister-in-law Jen for sharing that adventurous spirit and love of food.  I know whenever we meet, it will be full of love and laughter.

I’m thankful for my father, Weina and Kaihon.  My father for always worrying about me and questioning my motives.  For ensuring I’m making the right call and for being grounded while I’m enjoying the young single life that allows me to uproot myself on the turn of a dime.  For Weina for bringing more happiness into my life, sharing her life with my father and for bringing my charming rambunctious little brother Kaihon into this world.

I’m thankful for sister Kim and her husband Stephen.  Although we don’t speak often, they are always in my heart.

I’m thankful for my NY family.  Jon & Mel Burns, Punk & Trickster, Trish and everyone else I’ve met since living in NY.  You have made this city the home away from home and I know I will always be back so I can see you.

I’m thankful for my MB friends whom have now turned into some of the greatest friends of my life.  Madia, Elsa, Jerry, Matt, Adra, Hong, Jessica, Dave – just to name a few. Every day I’m amazed by each and every one of you.  You have given to strength to move forward with my radical ideas and valued my opinions.

To everyone I have not yet named, friends & family alike – thank you for being a part of my life.  I know it has been so much more fulfilling because of you.  I want to name you all, but I fear I have already lost most of the readers at this point.

Thank you all for a wonderful life.  I hope everyone’s Thankgiving was amazing and full of love.

Thanks for reading –
Meandering Mason
